Matthias Haas

Matthias has been Managing Director of IGEL Technology GmbH since April 2021 and continues to hold the position of CTO. Furthermore, he is the Managing Director of various IGEL locations, including the Romanian entity.
Matthias is responsible for the company’s software portfolio and drives strategic technology partnerships with international market leaders such as Microsoft, Amazon, Citrix, and VMware. Under his technical leadership, IGEL has transformed from a hardware vendor to the leading software company in secure end user computing.
Matthias started his career as a Linux system developer and joined IGEL in 2007. On IGEL Night, he will take over the company presentation of IGEL.
Volker Finger

Volker has been with the company for over a decade, starting as a Linux developer working on the operating system IGEL OS before moving into Quality Assurance.
After serving as a team leader, Volker took on the role of head of department, responsible for both the German and the Romanian QA teams. In addition to ensuring IGEL Products and IGEL Services quality, he takes care of maintaining both stability and quality in a continuous release process. He also focuses on the expansion of Test Automation.
On April 10th, Volker will demonstrate the IGEL ecosystem in action and will also provide an overview of the Quality Assurance department, including its teams, tasks and open roles.
Smaranda Popescu
HR & Recruitment Coordinator

Smaranda started at IGEL in 2023 as a working student in the Recruitment department. In 2025, her role became permanent and now she is an HR & Recruitment Coordinator within EMEA.
As a native Romanian she was perfectly placed to focus on our Romanian team and Romanian HR business.
Smaranda assists our new employees’ onboardings, providing them constant support in understanding their benefits, company policies, as well as their role with IGEL.

Florian is the responsible recruiter for hiring in Romania and started at IGEL end of 2022. He is Talent Acquisition Partner and takes care of recruitment for all EMEA/APAC roles (except Sales) like Development/Quality Assurance, IT, Customer Experience, Marketing, Finance and HR.
Florian’s tasks include day-to-day recruitment, special Talent Acquisition projects, recruitment fairs and employer branding across IGEL countries and entities. He founded IGEL Night 3 years ago in Germany.
